New Opportunity for Property Owners: Rooftop Densification Permitted

For a limited time, recent changes in municipal policy are allowing property owners to densify existing buildings without the lengthy approval processes traditionally required.

This means that zoning by-laws are temporarily relaxed, creating opportunities to repurpose and expand existing rooftops into usable, revenue-generating spaces.

This is not about increasing noise or disruption—it’s about efficiency and timing. Owners can now unlock additional value from properties they already own, with fewer regulatory hurdles than ever before.

With expertise in vertical building solutions, the company emphasizes that construction can be carried out cleanly, quietly, and with minimal surprises.

Officials note that this opportunity is time-sensitive. Property owners are encouraged to explore their options before the current provisions expire.

Calvert Subdivision

The Calvert subdivision is a multi-family mixed-use housing project of 150+ housing units. In the near future, many individuals and families will call it home. Besides housing, the site shall offer services such as a playground, gardening opportunities, public spaces, child care, and more.

New Factory in Iroquois Falls

Due North Housing is in the process of developing a factory in Iroquois Falls that will employ as many as 150 people and produce as many as 300 homes each year utilizing volumetric construction.

Due North Housing is the anchor tenant in a new industrial park that will be located near the core of town on Oil Tank Road. The municipality will benefit from funding that can only be secured with an anchor tenant committed to establishing itself on the site. This development of the industrial park will attract more tenants that can support our factory’s operations and will benefit the local economy.
